J. George Jiha, MD

Double-Board-Certified & Fellowship-Trained Pain Management Specialist

J. George Jiha, MD“When I was in high school, I was involved in a Christian youth organization that brought food and clothing to the poor. It was then I learned how helping people in need contributed to my own sense of self-worth. Upon graduation, I knew I wanted a career where I could have the satisfaction of being able to help people every day, so I decided I wanted to become a doctor.

“After eight years of practicing medicine in Chicago, I moved to Baton Rouge to be near my family. I have now been practicing medicine for almost two decades, and I am double-board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and fellowship-trained, as well. In order to stay on top of the latest developments in interventional pain medicine, I complete many hours of continuing education each year and maintain membership in several prominent organizations.

“Additionally, I am an attentive listener who is receptive to my patients’ needs. I explain to you what you are going through in terms that are easy to understand. My goal is to get you out of pain quickly by finding the source and blocking it with specific nonsurgical procedures. I love helping people on a daily basis and cannot possibly imagine having a more rewarding career.”
