About John L. Uhl, MD
As an Emergency Medicine physician for greater than 10 years, I have experienced the difficulty of treating patients in chronic pain and seen the hardships these patients endure. The lack of effective treatment that many had access to was disheartening and drove my interest into Pain Management.
After completing an Interventional Pain fellowship at UMMC, it is my hope to establish a practice that supplies empathy and compassion to those in chronic pain. It is my belief that the field of Pain Management is in its infancy. However, rapidly expanding technical knowledge is making new treatments available to patients today. My desire is to correctly diagnose the source of pain and then effectively treat it using a proven minimally invasive approach.
When not working, I enjoy time with my wonderful family and staying active with friends. I am an amateur Jiujiteiro and enjoy music, sports and food.
